Donor’s Bill of Rights

At Foundation for CHOICE We value the support of our donors and take price in our responsible stewardship of your support and information. The Foundation and our employees are committed to following the Association of Fundraising Professionals Donor Bill of Rights to let you know that your commitment to us, in tum receives a commitment from us:

“Philanthropy is based on voluntary action for the common good. It is a tradition of giving and sharing that is primary to the quality of life. To ensure that philanthropy merits the respect and trust of the general public, and that donors and prospective donors can have full confidence in the nonprofit organizations and causes they are asked to support, we declare that all donors have these rights:

I. To be informed of the organization’ mission, of the way the organization intends to use donated resources, and of is capacity to use donations effectively for their intended purposes.

II. To be informed of the identity of those serving on the organization’s intends to use donate resources, and of it’s capacity to use donations effectively for their intended purposes

III. To have access to the organization’s most recent financial statements.

IV. To be assured their gifts will be used for the purposes for which they were given.

V. lo receive appropriate acknowledgement and recognition.

VI. To be assured that information bout their donations is handled with respect and with confidentiality to the extent provided by law:

FFC collects personal information from donors for the purposes of processing payments, donations and communicating with donors about the Foundation, as wel as conducting the operations of the Foundation including fundraising and patient support This information may include name, amount donated, address, telephone number donor comments, e-mail address, and anyother personal information provided (Donor Data”). For donations by check, Donor Data also includes the data visible on the check.

As part of providing an online experience, FEC may store various data that are collected as part of standard web operations (including, but not limited to, IP addresses and cookies).
